Every move is different. Use this guide as a starting point and adapt it to your property, access, dates and belongings.

Keep critical items with you

Carry passports, keys, medication, chargers, wallet, contracts and important documents personally. Do not leave items you will need at short notice deep inside the van or in storage.

Pack one clear first-night kit

Include toiletries, a change of clothes, bedding, a kettle or simple food plan, cleaning basics and children's or pets' essentials. Label it clearly and agree where it will be placed.

Record handover details

Before leaving, photograph meter readings and check cupboards, lofts, sheds and outside storage. Keep the property and vehicle contact numbers available.

Prepare the destination

Check keys, parking access, lift bookings and a clear path into the home. Direct furniture and boxes by room labels to reduce rearranging later.

Leave time for a final check

Walk through the property with the crew when feasible. Note any concerns promptly and keep your written scope, inventory and delivery details together.
