Every move is different. Use this guide as a starting point and adapt it to your property, access, dates and belongings.

Appoint move leads

Give one person authority for decisions and nominate contacts for IT, facilities, each department and both buildings.

Build an inventory and floor plan

Mark what moves, what is cleared and where every department, desk and shared area will go at the destination.

Protect operations

Plan backups, specialist IT disconnection, access cards, lift bookings, security and essential equipment that must be available first.

Label for the destination

Use a simple code for floor, zone and workstation. Test it on crates and furniture before the whole office is packed.

Set a reopening priority

Plan which teams, workstations and network items must be available first. Label these separately and keep a handover contact at both sites so unloading follows the floor plan.

Separate related services

Office clearance, crate hire, cleaning, furniture reassembly and specialist IT work have different scopes. Put each in the written quotation so responsibilities remain clear.
