Every move is different. Use this guide as a starting point and adapt it to your property, access, dates and belongings.

Decide what needs access

Keep documents, medicines, seasonal essentials and anything needed soon separate from the stored load.

Pack for duration

Items stored for longer may need more protection from dust, pressure and movement than a short overnight hold.

Use a clear inventory

Number boxes and record furniture condition. Mark which items should be delivered first at the new property.

Confirm the final address

Redelivery access, notice periods and dates should be agreed as early as possible to avoid rushed changes.

Ask about access and cover

Some storage arrangements need advance notice for access or redelivery. Confirm the facility, duration, handling fees and applicable insurance terms before collection.

Prepare for collection and return

Number cartons, record larger furniture and decide what should remain with you. Tell the mover as soon as the final delivery address and building access are known.
